Employment – Unfair dismissal. The Employment Appeal Tribunal, in dismissing the appellants' appeal, held that the employment tribunal (the tribunal) had had jurisdiction to consider an extant reporting restriction order, notwithstanding the fact that claims brought by the first appellant for unfair dismissal and unlawful sex discrimination had been withdrawn on settlement. There had been no error of law or principle in the balancing exercise conducted by the tribunal. Accordingly there was no basis on which to interfere with his conclusion that the privacy orders should be revoked.
