Immigration – Leave to remain – Right to family life. Court of Session: Refusing a judicial review petition by a Pakistani national who challenged a decision to certify his application for leave to remain in the UK on the basis of his private and family life as clearly unfounded, the court rejected contentions that the respondent had failed to follow the Home Office published guidance on certification; that the proportionality assessment in the case was inadequate; that the respondent had erred in her approach to the best interests of the petitioner's son; and that the decision to certify was unreasonable or irrational.
