Estoppel – Proprietary estoppel. The claimants' claim for possession of a property owned by the deceased failed. The Chancery Division held that the defendant, who had been in a relationship with the deceased, had done a great deal of building work at the property that he would not have done had he and the deceased not agreed to pool their resources. It would have been unconscionable for the estate of the deceased not to give effect to that agreement.
