Barclays Bank plc v Price and others

Practice – Summary judgment. The fourth defendant's application to strike out the claim against him was dismissed. The claimant bank, Barclays Bank plc, sought to enforce its rights under a guarantee provided to it by directors of a law firm, including the fourth defendant. The Commercial Court held that the first demand made by the bank had been valid, despite demanding £500 more than the maximum specified amount.
