Personal Injury: Quantum Case. Road traffic accident. Orthopaedic injuries with PSLA of £30,000: permanent duration. Following a motorcycle accident, the claimant suffered from serious injury to his right femur with a displaced fracture of the shaft. The femur fracture led to a 2.5cm leg shortening. The injury to the first right metacarpal was permanent, leading to cold intolerance, pain on gripping and weakness. The claimant also suffered from pelvic injuries lasting around 12 months.
