AA (Iraq) v Secretary of State for the Home Department

Immigration – Asylum seeker. The Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) (the UT) had erred in a country guidance case concerning Iraq, with respect to an Iraqi civil status identify document. Accordingly, the Court of Appeal, Civil Division, appended revised country guidance to its judgment, having held that it had jurisdiction to hear the appeal, where the UT had allowed the appellant's appeal and remitted the case for further fact finding, and permission had been granted to appeal to the present court.
