Associate Attorney

Priestleys Attorneys in the Cayman Islands is looking to recruit an Associate Attorney with a minimum 7 years’ post qualification experience as a common law attorney to assist in our vibrant litigation and dispute resolution department.

As a boutique law firm with an excellent reputation Priestleys maintains an extremely diverse roster of clients and high caliber cases whilst still offering all the benefits of a small firm and closeknit team environment.

This unique opportunity will allow the successful candidate to undertake a broad spectrum of cases in civil and commercial litigation including but not limited to judicial review proceedings, shareholder disputes, personal injury, contractual disputes, family, probate matters and private law applications. As a fundamental part of the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of cases from onboarding new clients to undertaking legal research; advising; drafting pleadings, evidence and all other necessary documentation; as well as undertaking appearances in court at trial and at interlocutory stage. With such variety no two days will be the same and the successful candidate must be able to adapt and evolve to meet exciting new challenges.

The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal, written and public speaking skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. With many opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills-base, we are seeking a candidate with a proactive approach and enthusiastic mindset to join our growing team.  

Advocacy experience is essential as well as excellent academics and top tier firm or good chambers pedigree preferred.

Salary range US$150,000 to US$180,000. Discretionary bonus and benefits as prescribed by law and possible relocation package.
