DWF Advocacy

Head of Advocacy (Barrister)

We are seeking a Barrister and Head of Advocacy to lead our DWF Advocacy team.

DWF Advocacy is an expert, quality, streamlined advocacy service, operating as an alternative to the external Bar and traditional chambers.  Operating similar to an in-house set of chambers, DWF’s barristers and advocates offer specialist advocacy, drafting and advisory services across a variety of specialisms such as Commercial, Fraud, Occupational Health & Disease, Catastrophic Injury, Professional Indemnity, Employment, Costs and Inquests.  The team comprises circa 20 individuals based across a number of our UK DWF offices and work typically arises via referrals from legal colleagues but also direct client relationships.

This role will report into our CEO of Connected Services, which is the specialist division of DWF comprising a range of businesses that complement our core legal offering. Your key focus will be to grow profitable revenue for the Division from both existing clients of DWF and also an external client base, manage and develop a team to better meet client expectations and to contribute to sales and profit growth through the appropriate use of resources, and further develop the technical capability of the team to better meet client needs and support business development activities.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a qualified Barrister working in Chambers or at a commercial law firm. Ideally, you will have 10+ years PQE, as well as a background in Commercial Litigation. You will be a sharp and driven individual, with a keen interest in leading the business from an annual revenue of circa £2m to £5m+ over the next 3 years.

Apply now! Please send your CV to caitlin.horsfield@dwf.law. If you wish to identify any adjustments or additional support we can provide to you during the recruitment process, please do so via https://www.cleartalents.com/apply/allroles/.
