Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Bar Vocational Studies)

The School seeks to appoint two Lecturers or Senior Lecturers to its Bar Vocational Studies programme.

Those appointed will deliver course modules and undertake associated assessments; support and mentor postgraduate students; and contribute to curriculum development and innovation.

Person Specification

To be successful, a candidate will be a member of the Bar of England and Wales or a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales and will have a good academic background (honours degree or equivalent), together with experience of professional practice as a Barrister or Solicitor and/or a proven track record of excellence in delivering outstanding education and contributing to a high-quality student experience. We would particularly welcome applications from applicants able to teach Civil Litigation and related subjects.

For appointment as Senior Lecturer, candidates will be able to demonstrate significant experience in legal practice and/or of delivering excellent education with course administration and course design and development.
