The British Dyslexia Association (“BDA”) and DANDA (an organisation for adults with learning difficulties) have produced a Guide for Justice Professionals, available from the BDA (contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. It offers practical guidance for lawyers, the courts and law enforcement organisations in supporting clients and users of the justice system, from interviewing and case preparation through to court hearings and youth offending services. About 15 per cent of adults are affected by dyslexia and related specific learning difficulties.
